Instant Pot Brussels Sprouts with Bacon
Ingredients:
- 1 bag of fresh brussels sprouts
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 2 tsp. minced garlic
- ½ onion, chopped
- 6 slices of bacon, sliced
- ½ tsp. salt
- ¼ tsp. black pepper
- 1 cup water
Directions:
Wash and trim brussels sprouts, you can leave them whole or cut them in half.
Pour water into the Instant Pot liner.
Use a steamer basket or place the Instant Pot trivet into the liner.
Pour in brussels sprouts.
Close the Instant Pot lid and set the vent to sealing.
Press Manual and set time to 3 minutes.
When the Instant Pot beeps, release the pressure valve and remove lid.
Remove brussels sprouts and set aside.
Using pot holders, remove liner and drain water.
Put the liner back in the Instant Pot and set to Saute.
When the Instant Pot reads Hot, pour in oil.
Add onion, garlic, and bacon.
Cook until the bacon is browned and to the desired crispness.
Add brussels sprouts back to the liner, mix, and saute for 3-4 minutes.
Cancel the Saute, remove the brussels sprouts, and serve.
